The Psychiatric Clinic at Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå is the largest psychiatric clinic in Northern Sweden with over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric inpatient wards, forensic psychiatric services, and a number of specialized outpatient and treatment units. The Psychiatric Clinic has moved to a newly built facility where the care environment will be characterized by the importance of the physical environment in promoting health. The residential and work environment is supported by modern technology and research, which will be evident in the lighting and communication systems. The clinic will be climate-smart through self-sufficiency in electricity and heating, among other things. We are seeking a Nurse for the Psychosis Clinic, where the target group is patients with schizophrenia and schizophrenia-like conditions between 18 and 60 years old. The clinic is organized into multiprofessional teams that work with the patient's needs at the center. Work follows a modified Case Management model. Treatment occurs individually, in groups, and together with the patient's family. We collaborate daily with various actors such as social services, primary care, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Public Employment Service. At the clinic we work with clinic visits, home visits, and outreach activities. Our work offers varied and stimulating tasks; through our teamwork we make a difference. DUTIES As a nurse with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. Your duties as a nurse include serving as a clinic nurse at certain times, which includes telephone consultations, telephone follow-ups, and coordination. You are responsible for medication management, follow-up during pharmacological treatment, blood draws, scheduling annual check-ups, and conducting conversations based on patient needs. You assist with somatic knowledge and contribute a holistic perspective on medical, somatic, social, and psychiatric matters. Work takes place both at the clinic and in the patient's home environment through home visits together with colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse and has an interest in working within psychiatry. Experience in psychiatric care, outpatient care, or other health and medical care is meritorious, but not required. You are comfortable making decisions and adapt easily to changing circumstances. The work involves many contact points, so we place great emphasis on you being skilled at communication, having good interpersonal skills, and having strong collaboration abilities. You should have basic knowledge of and experience with computer work as well as a good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish. Employment type: Permanent employment.
