Unit 91 is a general psychiatric unit with primary diagnoses in addiction care. We need to strengthen our team with a nurse. Job Responsibilities As a nurse at Unit 91, you are welcome to a stimulating workplace under the County Resources section, and we work closely with the addiction clinic. We are part of specialized care within adult psychiatry in Västmanland. As a nurse, you have a central role as a team leader and are responsible for patient care. You work in a team with other nurses, caregivers, doctors, psychologists, social workers, and a coordinator. You conduct admission and discharge interviews and document in the Cosmic journal system. Collaboration with social services is part of daily work and also occurs with psychiatric outpatient care, primary care, and municipal services. You become a bit of a "hub" where we, together with our coordinator/social worker, piece together the patient's complete picture with a focus on safe discharge home. We work with a combination of addiction care, psychiatry, and somatic care, and we place great emphasis on meaningful encounters and motivating conversations. About the Workplace We are a general psychiatric acute unit with an addiction focus and primarily work with abstinence treatment for patients with comorbidity, psychiatric and addiction disorders. High-quality and patient-safe abstinence treatment requires close collaboration with the Västmanland Addiction Center and other outpatient clinics in the region. Unit 91 is a regional operation for the most complex patients regarding active substance abuse/active addiction and/or other mental illness or somatic illness. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have a strong interest in working with general psychiatric diagnoses and addiction and substance abuse issues. Specialist training in psychiatry and/or MI training is a merit. We would like you to have experience working in adult psychiatry, particularly with addiction and/or substance abuse issues. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the Cosmic journal system. Good Swedish language skills in both speaking and writing are required for the position.
