The Adult Psychiatry Operations Area in Kristianstad offers specialized psychiatric care in the northeastern and southeastern municipalities of Skåne. We have a large geographic service area, but our operations are characterized by proximity and short decision-making processes. The emergency department together with our acute care units are responsible for high-intensity care of patients in the acute phase before they can be discharged or moved to another around-the-clock care unit.
Work is carried out in interprofessional teams consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, physicians, medical secretaries, clinical pharmacists, and dietitians. We colleagues work well together, and together with our unit managers we constantly work for high patient safety and a good work environment.
For us, it is important to retain and recruit nurses who want to stay and develop in the operation. Therefore, we work with issues that are important for nurses' long-term development and work environment with us. Among other things, we have created a mentoring group for you who are a newly graduated nurse or newly employed nurse in psychiatry. We work with both short- and long-term measures to ensure a good work environment and skills development for the nursing team. In addition, specialist training may become relevant within the scope of your employment.

DUTIES
At our emergency department, you have the first contact with patients who arrive acutely. The main duties are assessment, triage, and telephone advice.
In your role as a nurse at our acute care units, you design care based on the patient's needs, where collaboration with the patient's network and, for example, care neighbors in the community becomes a natural part of your work. You are also expected to lead the care work. In addition to this, duties include monitoring health status, assessing care needs, offering supportive conversations and advice, medication management, and documentation.
To ensure you get a secure start with us, we offer you as a newly employed nurse not only an individually tailored introduction, but also a base year including seminars, lectures, and opportunities for networking with both new and more experienced nursing colleagues. We have care supervision every week where we start from the patient's individual needs and wishes.
With us you get a key role in psychiatric care. Time is given to each patient and you become an expert in care interactions. You also get time to reflect on your work and encounters with patients together with other team members. Many patients in psychiatric around-the-clock care have a high degree of comorbidity, which gives you the opportunity to work and develop within both psychiatric and somatic care.
Working hours for this position are scheduled days, nights, evenings, and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. You who have started your nurse education and are reading the last semester are also welcome to apply. Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement. If you have specialist training in psychiatry, this is highly meriting. Experience working in psychiatry and/or working in an emergency department with triage is also meriting. We also see that good user skills in the systems Melior and/or Mina planer are meriting. You may have an interest in, or experience with, working in development processes.

Since you are expected to lead the care work, there are also requirements for a good ability to plan and structure your work as well as the ability to take a step back and see the bigger picture in the operation. At the same time, you are a good team player who sees collaboration as a prerequisite for good work. In addition, you are responsive to patients, relatives, and colleagues and contribute to a good work environment in the work group. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
