The Palliative Advisory Team (PRT) consists of a team of nurses, doctors, and a social worker. Nurses here work in a consultative role. The team is based at Sunderby Hospital but serves the entire Luleå/Boden area. The operation contributes to our 24-hour service through this position, which includes at least two evening/night shifts per month. Prior experience in palliative care, genuine interest in palliative care and its philosophy, are merits. Great importance is placed on personal qualities. As a person, you are confident, stable, and have self-awareness. You have empathetic ability and can put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation without taking on their emotions. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently and easily adapt to changing circumstances. What You'll Be Doing As a palliative advisory nurse on the team, you provide advice and support in, among other things, symptom relief and the palliative approach to staff caring for seriously ill individuals in inpatient care, sheltered housing, or at home. Advice and support are also provided to the individual and their loved ones. Home visits together with a doctor or nursing colleague also occur. The position is mainly located during daytime, Monday through Friday. Two evening/night shifts per month on our inpatient care unit are included. Start date by agreement. Selection and interviews take place continuously and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
