The Eye Clinic recently moved to new premises, a completely new building, at Garnisonen Linköping. New and fresh which we enjoy every day. At Garnisonen there is the eye clinic, the vision center, the pre-post department and the operating department where we perform local operations. Our anesthesia operations take place at the central operating theater at University Hospital where we also have a pre-post department. The eye clinic's opening hours are 07.00-17.00 on weekdays. Red days and weekends we are closed. We have a rolling 8-week schedule and you choose whether you want to work half or full day. Job Description As a nurse you will work with your own patient clinic as well as in a team. We have specialized and basic diagnoses so the assignments and opportunities for varying work tasks are extensive. Some of our diagnoses are chronic and the patient comes to us regularly, other diagnoses are more acute and there are fewer visits. We have our own emergency clinic which is part of our work tasks. We work in diagnostic teams, the teams consist of clinic personnel, doctors and administrators. You will work together with clinic personnel which consists of several professional groups, orthoptists, ophthalmic nurses, general nurses, opticians and nursing assistants. The clinic personnel consists of approximately 25 people but you also work in close collaboration with other staff at the clinic. About You You are a trained nurse and preferably also specialized as an ophthalmic nurse. Since you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues and other operations it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing. You also need to be able to handle different IT systems to be able to perform daily care work. For you to thrive and fit in with us your personal qualities are important. For this position we are looking for you who is flexible. Flexible with us means being able to adapt to the current situation and change focus which is crucial since unforeseen events occur daily.
