On the ward, you will meet patients of different ages being treated for medical and surgical eye diseases. We offer stimulating work within basic and highly specialized eye surgery and in close collaboration with the clinic's other units. Some hand surgery patients are also cared for on the ward, which has 12 beds. We are located in modern facilities in the H building. Together with our experienced staff, we offer you individual orientation. Our area of operations includes, in addition to eye care, ear, plastic, skin, and jaw surgery services. We have both planned and emergency operations within all specialties. We have both a regional and a regional mandate, where many patients have short hospital stays. Duties As a nurse on Ophthalmology Department 49, you are responsible for nursing care, treatment, and follow-up of patients with medical and surgical eye diseases. You work closely with nursing assistants, doctors, and other healthcare professionals caring for patients who are to undergo surgery. In the evenings, nights, and weekends, we also have our acute reception services and an advisory telephone line at department 49. You will learn to work with technical equipment within eye care and perform vision tests, etc. The ward has high patient turnover and average hospital stay is two days. If interested, opportunities for further training in eye care may be available. About the position: Full-time temporary employment until August 31, 2027, with possible extension.
