The Workplace Meliva Gyn and Operation Nacka operates both an outpatient clinic and day surgery procedures. Gynecologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, nurse assistants, and a receptionist work here. We work as a team but also independently within our area of responsibility/profession. About the Job Our operating department consists of one operating room and ten recovery beds. We perform everything from minor vaginal procedures to prolapse repairs and TVT procedures that do not require the specialized expertise and equipment of an acute care hospital. We are a small group that supports and works closely together. In the recovery unit, you work together with a nurse assistant. Your main responsibilities are to oversee pre- and post-operative care from the moment the patient arrives for surgery until they are discharged. This includes standard nursing duties and other common tasks in a recovery unit such as administering premedication, pain relief, monitoring, etc. Your duties also include answering our post-op phone and caring for patients who had temporary urinary catheters that need to be removed. We use the Take Care patient record system. Qualifications Licensed Nurse We are looking for a licensed nurse with experience in acute care. You are professional in your interactions, positive, engaged, and confident in your role as a nurse. We place great emphasis on good collaboration and treatment of both patients and colleagues. You feel comfortable working independently.
