Then you might be the person we're looking for for our acute medical ward (AVA)! AVA has space for 14 care beds and treats patients over 18 years old with varying acute medical conditions. We provide high-level internal medicine care, with excellent conditions for both monitoring and intensive treatment of patients with serious illnesses. Examples include ST monitoring for ischemia, invasive blood pressure measurement, and non-invasive ventilation. In addition, the ward also has more stable internal medicine patients. At Hässleholm Hospital, AVA is the ward with the highest level of care and it is, among other things, from here that personnel are dispatched in case of life-threatening conditions and cardiac arrests. AVA belongs to the Medical business area and the emergency department belongs to the administration of Nearby Care and Health, and we have close collaboration. JOB DUTIES At our unit, we have an education nurse who works to assess, plan, implement, and follow up on competency development needs at both individual and group levels. This way, we help ensure that you feel confident in your role as a nurse and continue to develop. We also offer a longer twelve-week introduction that is tailored to your specific needs with a clear structure, clinical placements, and internal training. As a newly graduated nurse, you will also complete a clinical foundation year that includes lectures and clinical skills training. The duties as a nurse are varied. You work with nursing interventions, medical-technical equipment such as NIV, infusions/syringe pumps, monitoring equipment, and arterial pressure sets. We strive to work in a team-based approach and you will have access to physiotherapists, an occupational therapist, a social worker, a dietitian, and a ward pharmacist. We work according to person-centered care with digital pulse and green cross boards as well as patient safety, and we are in the startup phase of nursing rounds. QUALIFICATIONS You are or will soon become a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. If you have experience from acute care and/or inpatient care, we see that as meriting. We would like to see that you are calm and confident, with a genuine interest and commitment to caring for and providing high-quality care to all patients. Since you will meet patients at different stages of life, good empathy, respectful treatment, and good nursing care are also required. You enjoy working in a team and have good collaboration skills.
