At Cognitive Acute Care Unit 94, we care for patients who have suffered cognitive impairment, have complex medical care needs, and often multiple comorbidities. Duties Here we provide care and treatment to patients who have suffered cognitive impairment, dementia, acute cognitive problems, and behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia (BPSD). We collaborate with the psychiatric clinic when patients are sometimes cared for with us following a decision regarding compulsory psychiatric care. It is common for patients to also have concurrent needs for care of various somatic conditions that can be of both acute and chronic nature. Working as a nurse with us is both developmental and educational! The unit has 12 care beds. As a nurse, you are responsible for six patients during day and evening shifts and work in a team with experienced and competent colleagues. Qualifications We are looking for you who: are a licensed nurse. have an interest in/experience working with patients with cognitive diseases. understand the importance of good treatment and respect. are flexible and take responsibility. enjoy working in a team and value close collaboration between different professions.
