The Infectious Diseases Department (VO) at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) operates in both Lund and Malmö and is responsible for the care of patients with infectious and immunodeficiency diseases. In Lund there is an inpatient ward with 24 beds, while operations in Malmö include two departments with a total of 39 beds. Clinic services and needle exchange programs are available at both locations, as well as an administrative unit. The clinic team currently consists of five nurses, two nursing assistants, two research nurses, three medical secretaries, one unit physician, and one social worker. 1 position(s). DUTIES Work at the clinic includes nurse-led clinic services for various diagnostic groups and telephone advice. The operations include both scheduled visits and some acute clinic care for adult patients. You will see patients with conditions such as hepatitis, HIV, tuberculosis, MRSA and tropical infections, as well as acute conditions such as COVID-19, sepsis, pneumonia and influenza. The work is characterized by variety as the disease spectrum is often seasonal, while new and uncommon infectious diseases continuously require flexibility and development. Your duties include, among other things: • Independent nurse clinic • Management of patients with various infectious disease conditions • Sample collection and medication administration • Telephone advice • Planning and follow-up of patient visits You will also assist at physician clinics, for example in the management of subacute patients, lumbar punctures, wound care and other tasks within clinic operations. This position is a combination role with weekend shifts at one of our infectious disease wards in Lund. QUALIFICATIONS You are a registered nurse with authorization to work within Swedish health and medical care. Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required.
