What you will be working with On the unit, you will work as a nurse in a team with experienced nursing assistants and doctors as well as with other professional categories – with the patient in focus. In the work group we have good cohesion, we help each other, and we value development and work satisfaction highly. As a nurse in the infectious disease unit, you are responsible for the care of patients with varying monitoring needs together with your nursing assistants. Our patients have varying nursing care needs that create a varying work pace with sometimes rapid changes in patient conditions. No two days are alike here. As a nurse, you are responsible for leading and distributing the work within the team, and together with your colleagues you are responsible for a good working environment. You will learn a lot about both contagious and non-contagious infectious diseases. We care for patients with commonly occurring diseases such as pneumonia and urinary tract infections, but also patients with hepatitis, malaria, heart valve infections, and infections in the skeleton and brain. You will become an expert on transmission routes and care hygiene, and you will meet patients from all over the world.
