About the position Our hematological day care is part of the Nordic region's largest hematological center and receives patients from the Stockholm region and Gotland with various forms of blood cancer and non-malignant hematological diseases. Care, research, and education are important parts of our operations, and we work actively to ensure that current research contributes to developing clinical nursing care. In day care, you will meet, among others, patients undergoing or having undergone treatment for plasma cell diseases, bone marrow diseases, and leukemias. Many of our patients live with chronic or serious illnesses and may find themselves in a difficult life situation. As a nurse, you therefore have an important role both in medical treatment and in creating security and providing support to the patient throughout the care process. The work is varied and includes, among other things: - cytostatic treatment - antibody treatment - blood transfusions - stem cell reinfusion - support and nursing care for patients in difficult life situations - planning and booking of patients as well as ordering of medications. You work closely with other professionals in day care and also have close collaboration with the unit's inpatient care and outpatient clinic. In the long term, rotation or service within one of these operations may become relevant. The arrangement will be planned in dialogue with you and based on your previous experience. Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.
