The Gynecology and Breast Department at Helsingborg Hospital is a closely-knit unit that provides both gynecological and obstetric care. We care for women of all ages and specialize in acute gynecological conditions, acute and planned gynecological surgeries, and gynecological cancer. We have our own intake through our gynecological emergency clinic. On our department, we also care for breast patients after planned surgery as part of cancer treatment, as well as for postoperative complications. We are now expanding our team with two new nurses/midwives. You will work together with other nurses, midwives, nursing assistants, and physicians. Together we work to provide patients with the best possible care. 2 position(s). DUTIES As a nurse or midwife with us, you will work on a department with almost exclusively female patients. You will perform standard duties for a nurse or midwife on a care ward. We place great emphasis on putting patients first and providing the care each unique patient needs. We have a nursing assistant who manages My Plans on weekdays, a coordinator who manages the flow on the department, and a pharmacist who supports medication management. During the night, our gynecological emergency clinic is connected with the care ward. One nurse or midwife has primary responsibility for the gynecological emergency clinic, and on the department there are two care teams. We help each other based on current workload. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or midwife with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. If you have previously worked in gynecology, breast, or acute care, this is a merit but not required. You are a calm and secure person with a genuine interest and commitment to caring for and providing all patients with high-quality care. As you meet patients in different stages of life, empathy, good demeanor, and good nursing care are also required. You enjoy working in teams and have good collaboration skills.
