Do you want to work with highly specialized care in a competent and positive work team? With us, you are offered varied, exciting, meaningful work where you make a difference and create security for the patient.
Job Responsibilities
At the dialysis clinic, you are welcomed to a workplace with stimulating and challenging tasks. As a nurse with us, you work with preparing and performing prescribed treatment, monitoring, providing care and medical treatment, and documenting completed treatment. You also work with patient education so that our patients feel involved and take responsibility for their own treatment. This means you support and educate patients who want to participate in their treatment, for example by the patient inserting their own needles.
The work also offers continuity as a nurse—you also work as a care coordinator for two to three patients. As a care coordinator nurse, you have the opportunity to follow and plan the patient's care and treatment over a longer period.
About the Workplace
Medicine Clinic Köping has three internal medicine departments. These have different medical specializations such as cardiology, blood, gastroenterology, and acute stroke unit with rehabilitation. We also have urgent care, cardiac intensive care, and a dialysis clinic. The medicine clinic has, in addition to physician consultations, several specialized nurse clinics. Occupational therapists, social workers, and physiotherapists are located in the Rehabilitation Unit. The dialysis clinic performs approximately 4,200 treatments/year and has a nurse-led kidney failure clinic. It is a workplace characterized by a favorable mix of experience where some have worked for a long time and others for a shorter period. Staff care for each other and everyone contributes their expertise. With us, you are allowed to be new to the job; you always have close contact with your colleagues and always someone to ask for advice when you need it. We offer long introductions that are also individually tailored, which means the introduction period can be longer or shorter depending on your needs and previous experience. We work with rotation between patients and can also offer rotation services to the medicine department if of interest. We offer working hours with day and evening shifts that provide good recovery time between shifts. This provides an opportunity for good balance between work and leisure and also enables good opportunities to commute. We have many commuters with us who report that it works very well. When your shift is finished, you go home without having to hand over to anyone else.
Our working hours are daytime 07:00–15:30, evening 11:00–19:30. Holiday shifts are scheduled for daytime 07:00–15:00 on Saturdays only and two out of five weekends.
Our employees are our most important resource, and we want you to feel good, be well, and develop with us. Therefore, we offer you:
adjusted introduction program so you feel safe and confident in your professional role
opportunity for professional development through, for example, internal training
a workplace for different life stages, opportunity for flexible working hours within certain limits
free training at our fully equipped gym
wellness allowance 3000kr/year

Qualifications

Since the role requires you to be able to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required.
As a person, you are confident, stable, and have good self-awareness. Since work can change quickly in various ways, you need to be flexible and have the ability to maintain your calm and focus in new and acute situations. You have a good ability to structure your own work and take responsibility for your tasks. We work in teams and see collaboration and clarity as important skills.
