Nurse for Pediatric Day Care (Temporary Position)

About Us Children's and Youth Clinics are located at three hospitals in Sörmland: Mälarsjukhuset, Nyköpings lasarett, and Kullbergska sjukhuset. Our mission is to evaluate, care for, and treat children and young people who require specialized pediatric medical care. Adolescents are typically treated here until they turn 19 years old. The day care unit at Mälarsjukhuset is located adjacent to the Children's Outpatient Clinic. Children with oncological and hematological diseases are treated here for treatment, blood transfusions, and more extensive testing. Patients with rheumatic and certain allergological conditions and gastroenterological patients receive treatment here from nurses of the respective teams. We handle most procedures involving needle placement, premedication, and sedation before surgeries, gastroscopies, and colonoscopies, as well as various radiological examinations. Children and young people whose diagnoses and management belong to other clinics, such as ENT, ophthalmology, and surgical clinics, also receive premedication and other care related to their surgeries and examinations here. We are a great group that needs to grow. At the children's and youth department, we work in multifunctional teams that include physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, play therapists, school nurses, and paramedical resources. Your Qualifications You are a licensed nurse, preferably a pediatric nurse, or have experience in children's and youth medicine and are comfortable taking responsibility. You have a professional approach when meeting patients and their families. You work in a child-adapted manner and respect the family's right to participate in their child's care.
