At Hospice Helhetsvården in Gothenburg, we care for individuals in their final stages of life who require specialized palliative care. With ten beds and a team working closely with both guests and their loved ones, we are now seeking a registered nurse to join our team. With us, you will work with the whole person, providing medical care and attending to what matters most to the individual you meet. Your Role on the Team As a registered nurse, you will follow our guests and adapt care based on their changing needs. This may involve alleviating symptoms, making medical assessments and adjusting interventions, as well as creating security and identifying what is important for the guest and their loved ones. It is work where medical expertise and human connection are continuously intertwined. The operation is nurse-led, with nurses and nursing assistants working together in daily care. Doctors from the palliative team at Sahlgrenska are available for support, and the facility also includes occupational therapists, a curator, and a chaplain. Work hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts, with duty every other weekend. About Hospice Helhetsvården Helhetsvården is situated in nature near Bräcke Park. With ten beds, the setting is intimate, and you will have the opportunity to get to know guests, loved ones, and colleagues. When you start, you will receive structured orientation and support to gradually deepen your expertise in palliative care. As part of Bräcke Diakoni, we operate on mission-driven principles. Our surplus returns to our operations, and we want to leverage the knowledge and experience of those near those we care for. There is therefore room to contribute, think together, and participate in developing care that honors the whole person, including at life's end. Who We Are Looking For We are seeking a registered nurse who wants to work with people in their final stages of life. In your interactions with guests and loved ones, you are attentive and naturally create understanding, even in difficult situations. As a colleague, you help create a team where we support and provide security for one another. You hold Swedish nursing licensure and have strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. You do not need to already be a specialist in palliative care, but you are committed to continued development and wish to be involved in how the team and operation evolve. We Welcome Your Application! We conduct selection and interviews on an ongoing basis throughout the application period. Before Employment To ensure a secure work environment and safe care, Bräcke Diakoni applies drug testing as part of the recruitment process for Hospice Helhetsvården. Drug testing is conducted before employment and applies to all final candidates. Employment is contingent on a negative test result. Further information will be provided upon initial contact. Upon a job offer, you must be able to present a valid ID document as well as an extract from the police's criminal record register and suspicion register. The extract should concern Work in homes with elderly and persons with disabilities and must not be older than six months. We accept both physical and digital register extracts.
