About the position The Pediatric Emergency Department in Huddinge is part of Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital and receives approximately 20,000 children and young people between 0 and 18 years of age each year. Here, children with acute medical conditions such as infections, respiratory difficulties, and other acute illnesses are primarily cared for. The Pediatric Emergency Department has a special infection assignment and works in close collaboration with the Pediatric Emergency Care Unit (BAVA). During 2026, the operation moved into completely renovated facilities that were designed in close collaboration with staff to create a modern work environment with efficient patient flows, increased patient safety, and good conditions for teamwork. As a nurse, you work together with nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors in a multiprofessional team where the child's and family's needs are always at the center. The work is varied and fast-paced and involves meetings with patients and relatives in many different situations. We are primarily seeking nurses for permanent full-time positions. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends. There may also be opportunities for temporary assignments. We are looking for you who - are stable and remain calm even in acute situations where you need to make well-considered priorities - have good collaboration skills and contribute to good cooperation with colleagues, patients, and relatives - are flexible and adapt to changing situations in an operation where the pace can shift quickly - take responsibility for your tasks and work independently while seeking support when the situation requires it Qualifications Requirements: - Swedish nursing license - experience working in emergency care and/or pediatric care Meritorious: - specialist training in pediatric care or emergency care About the recruitment process Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
