On the pediatric ward, we work with the entire family in focus, where children and parents are separated as little as possible. It is exciting work where we meet and care for all children up to 18 years old and address the needs of the entire family. On the pediatric ward, staff work three shifts. WORK DUTIES In pediatric and youth healthcare, we work together in a tight-knit team where we jointly develop and evaluate our operations. We always work in the best interest of children and families in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and NOBAB standards. We also collaborate with other units in healthcare for children, such as maternity and postpartum care, emergency care, and intensive care. As a nurse with us, you will work with • standard ward duties such as rounds, blood draws, and examinations • planning and documentation of the child's care period • operation of medical technical equipment • emergency care, with readiness to respond to calls in maternity/operating room/emergency care • development work and areas of responsibility • supporting guardians in understanding the child's needs and becoming confident and independent in caring for their child. You have an empathetic mindset and find it easy to create calm around you. You are stable and have the ability to maintain focus even when the situation is complex. You have a reflective and curious approach to healthcare and are experienced in meeting people in vulnerable situations. You are someone who collaborates well with others, you are attentive and skilled at communicating. In this work, it is important that you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, you take responsibility for your tasks, and you drive processes forward. Since sudden changes can occur, you also need to be adaptable and able to quickly change your approach. As a nurse, you should • be a licensed nurse with the authority to work in Swedish healthcare. Experience from work in pediatric and emergency care is desirable but not required. Before a job offer is made, the employer has the right to request a criminal record extract.
