Asptuna Prison is an open facility located in Norsborg, approximately 20 kilometers south of Stockholm. Beateberg Prison is located in Trångsund and is a closed facility in security class 2. Beateberg Prison also has an open section, Grindstugan, in security class 3 for women. Beateberg Detention Center is located in the same area as Beateberg Prison. Job Description The Swedish Prison and Probation Service provides certain open health and medical care, which means that all prisons and detention centers have medical clinics where inmates can seek care. In addition to nurses, the clinics have general practitioners and psychiatrists. We are now seeking a substitute nurse for Asptuna Prison. As a nurse, you will have your own clinic for assessing minor ailments, and you will also assess which patients should see a doctor. This means you will work with both somatic and psychiatric health and medical care for inmates, assist at medical clinics, and administer medications, primarily through dose dispensing. Asptuna Prison currently has 3 nurses responsible for the facility's health care. The Stockholm South Operations Area also includes Beateberg Prison/Detention Center – with a coordinating nurse who coordinates for the entire operations area, one nurse responsible for the prison, and one responsible for the detention center. Together, these nurses will form the Stockholm South Operations Area's healthcare team with a shared manager. Nurses in the Stockholm South Operations Area may substitute for each other during training, vacations, or other absences. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is secure, stable, and responsible. You collaborate easily with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and composed. You have the ability to independently make correct assessments and judgments. The governing regulations are the Health and Medical Care Act and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's laws and regulations. Introduction and training will be provided upon employment.
