We continuously work on improvements to ensure high patient safety, excellent medical quality, accessibility, and a sustainable work environment where our employees thrive and develop. Ambulance services in Skaraborg consist of six operational units: Skövde, Mölltorp, Mariestad/Hova, Skara, Falköping/Tidaholm, and Lidköping/Vara. We are now seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position with the ambulance service in Lidköping/Vara. With us, you'll have varied, responsible, and meaningful work where you, together with committed colleagues, make a difference for patients in acute and sometimes complex situations. At the Lidköping/Vara ambulance station, we have three 24-hour ambulances, two day ambulances, and an assessment unit. New this fall is that we are converting the third day unit to an evening vehicle. Duties As a registered nurse in ambulance services, you work in a team closely with your colleagues and meet patients of all ages with varying care needs. The work includes both general and specialized nursing care within several different medical specialties and is characterized by continuous assessments, prioritizations, and decisions based on the patient's condition and situation. The role also includes collaboration with internal and external partners, such as other healthcare providers, rescue services, police, and municipal services. Ambulance services actively work on developing and improving work methods, processes, and patient safety. Your competence and commitment are therefore an important part of our collective improvement efforts. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. Specialist training is a merit. If you have prior experience in ambulance services and/or emergency care, this is also valued. To work as a registered nurse in ambulance services, you must meet the service's physical requirements at the time of hiring. The position requires a driver's license category B. Driver's license categories C/C1 are merits. As a person, you are confident in your professional role and have the ability to make well-founded decisions even in pressured situations. You have a professional, trustworthy, and respectful approach as well as good communication skills when meeting patients, relatives, and collaboration partners. Since the work involves close collaboration with colleagues, we see that you have good teamwork skills, contribute to a positive work environment, and have a natural ability to build good relationships. You are flexible, responsible, and have the ability to prioritize when situations change rapidly. We would appreciate your interest in development and improvement work and your willingness to contribute to the continued development of ambulance services.
