Specialist Psychiatry for Children, Youth, and Adults provides knowledge-driven and specialized psychiatric care in collaboration with the patient, family, and other care providers within and outside Region Kronoberg. The organization is structured in different units where staff work based on integrated teams, outpatient care, and 24-hour care that follow the patient through the entire care chain. Our mission is to provide specialist psychiatry for patients with serious mental illness, complex problems, and often comorbidities. We want to create good conditions for our patients to receive effective treatment with the best possible expertise, leading to improvements for the patient.
The Geriatric Psychiatry Unit's mission is to provide specialized psychiatry for elderly people with mental functional limitations. This means multimorbid elderly people with mental illness, people who need specialist-level memory assessment. As well as people with severe BPSD-related issues who need evaluation/medication. Our service area covers the entire Kronoberg region where we have 8 care beds and outpatient care. There is close collaboration with care partners such as municipal care, regional healthcare, and primary care. The unit has nurses, healthcare assistants, senior physicians, psychologists, an occupational therapist, and a medical secretary working in teams around the patient.
We are now seeking a registered nurse for our outpatient clinic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We work from a person-centered approach with both psychiatric and somatic care. We work in teams around the patient, and as a nurse you have a coordinating responsibility for the patient's care. You participate in team meetings, assessments, investigations, treatment, patient education, treatment planning, and method development.
The treatment offerings include psychiatric and cognitive assessments and diagnostics, pharmacological and ECT treatment, as well as psychiatric and somatic treatment and care. As a nurse in outpatient care, you meet patients both in their home environments and in residential facilities, as well as at the geriatric psychiatry clinic. Supervision of home care staff and residential facility staff is also included. You therefore need to feel comfortable meeting staff groups for guidance/supervision/training in difficult care situations. There is opportunity and need to staff the clinic's ECT department.
If you have at least 1 year of clinical experience as a registered nurse, you will have the opportunity to apply for paid further education to become a specialist nurse in psychiatric care.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you, a registered nurse with an interest in psychiatry and geriatrics. It is also valuable to have experience from somatic care, as many patients have complex health situations.
Furthermore, we see that you are a team player who contributes with competence in work around the patient and have great commitment to your work. We value that you collaborate well with your colleagues and contribute to a good work environment. As a person, you are initiative-taking, well-organized, and skilled at creating and maintaining good relationships with our cooperation partners, but also flexible and find it easy to adapt to current situations and enjoy when your day is rich in content and variety.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Because travel is part of the position, a driver's license is a requirement.
