Our Operations AVA is one of Akademiska Hospital's largest care units with 30 beds. Here you become part of a close-knit work team consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, pharmacists, and other important health professionals, all committed to delivering the highest quality care. Our operations always strive to maintain high medical expertise and high nursing standards. AVA has specialist functions such as an education nurse and discharge nurse, which gives you as an employee optimal conditions to perform your work tasks with high quality. At AVA, we primarily care for patients with internal medicine diagnoses. Patients come to us with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, infections, poisonings, diabetes, pulmonary embolisms, and deep vein thrombosis. Many of our patients have multiple conditions and require significant care interventions. Care stays are relatively short, which means a high flow of patients in and out that must be planned and coordinated. The high flow demands a great deal of flexibility, initiative, and decisiveness. Your Assignment As a nurse with us at AVA, you work with specific nursing care and treatment of acutely ill patients. We work in teams consisting of a nurse and nursing assistant always in close collaboration with physicians and other important professions. Together we take responsibility for the acute care of the patient. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. We are looking for both newly graduated nurses with an interest in internal medicine care and experienced nurses, preferably with a background in acute care or equivalent. Previous experience with telemetry monitoring is also advantageous. We would like to see that you are a specialist nurse in acute care or intensive care.
