Registered Nurse for Night/Evening Shifts

The work is varied, educational, and exciting, and gives you the opportunity to work both independently and in a team with your colleagues. Our patients are Karlstad residents aged seven and up who live in ordinary housing, care facilities, safety housing, support services, or social psychiatry. Job Duties Registered Nurse/District Nurse on night and evening shifts works as a consultant with health and medical care services and performs both planned and emergency patient visits throughout Karlstad municipality. According to one of our night nurses, the best thing about working nights as a nurse is that no shift is ever the same. There is no routine because you never know what you will encounter and the conditions are different each night. And the extra support from colleagues is especially important. The work involves close collaboration within the team with nurses and with nursing staff in the night patrols. Working hours are nights according to a schedule based on the employment level you wish to work. The positions are mainly scheduled for nights with working hours 21:30-07:00. The assignment also includes crossover shifts, where working hours are 17:00-02:00 Qualifications You must be a licensed registered nurse. If you have further education as a district nurse and experience from municipal health and medical care, this is a merit, as is experience from acute care. Working as a nurse requires a professional approach and good communication with our patients, relatives, and partners. You have good communication and teamwork skills, function well in a team but also enjoy working independently. As a person, you are structured and take initiative. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and are attentive to your surroundings. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
