Here you have the opportunity to provide both acute surgical care and palliative care at the highest level – while developing in your professional role.
Our ward, part of Surgery and Orthopedics Operations, consists of 28 state-of-the-art single rooms. Nurses, nursing assistants, paramedics and doctors work together in teams that promote collaboration, learning and patient-safe, person-centered care. We have a very good working atmosphere and people really thrive together here, both in everyday situations and when things get intense – a place where colleagues support each other and celebrate successes together.
We care for patients with everything from acute surgical diseases, traumatic injuries and urological problems, to planned operations and palliative care beds. You work closely with the pain management team, mobile palliative team, dietitian and community care team – true interprofessional collaboration.
New to surgery or recently graduated nurse? No problem!
We offer a safe and flexible four-week introduction where you receive support and supervision based on your needs.
Clinical Foundation Year
If you are a newly qualified nurse/radiologic technologist, the Clinical Foundation Year is included during your first year in your permanent position. The Clinical Foundation Year includes lectures, process-oriented nursing supervision and practical training in your profession at the Simulation Center. It also includes working alongside colleagues in other departments, so you gain a broader understanding of the hospital where you work. This is an investment we make to give you the opportunity to further develop in your profession and build your professional identity.
