Job Duties Department 96 cares for patients in general acute neurology as well as patients undergoing neurosurgery. You will meet adult patients of all ages, with varying lengths of stay depending on the condition, and many varied care situations. The department primarily handles acute admissions but also includes some planned activities. The department also cares for patients requiring rehabilitation medicine treatment. Rehabilitation medicine is a county-wide specialized service that offers advanced rehabilitation to working-age individuals with acquired brain injuries, primarily stroke and traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or other neurological injuries/conditions, as well as chronic pain. Follow-up care can be provided through day care and outpatient clinics. Qualifications We are looking for a licensed nurse who wants to contribute your interest in neurological care and rehabilitation medicine patients. You are focused, function well under stress, and can prioritize. You have a strong desire to be competent and professional. About the Organization The neuro- and rehabilitation medicine business area has broad operations consisting of outpatient clinics in neurology, neurosurgery, neurophysiology, and rehabilitation medicine, as well as two inpatient departments.
