The Role of Registered Nurse The primary work consists of pre- and postoperative nursing care, as well as caring for patients during various examinations and treatments. With us, you can experience diverse and exciting work with development opportunities in surgery. We work in teams with various professions, and together with other colleagues, you contribute to good collaboration within the clinic. As a registered nurse, you lead and distribute work within the team. Working nights requires some prior experience and a higher degree of independent work. Your Future Workplace Surgical Departments G and H are dynamic workplaces with a fast pace and a good mix of newly graduated and experienced nurses in surgical care and nursing. We actively work to create favorable conditions for newly qualified staff through mentorship and training. There are excellent development opportunities in surgical care for both new and experienced nurses with customized training from the region and through the university. In Värnamo, there are two inpatient care units with different focus areas in surgical specialties. There is also a surgeon/endoscopy clinic where patients are examined and treated for upper/lower gastroenterology, general surgery, abdominal and breast surgery, and endocrinology. We also have a stoma clinic. The Surgery Clinic is a regional clinic with operations in Jönköping, Eksjö, and Värnamo. You must have at least one year of experience as a registered nurse to apply for night shift work with us. You take responsibility for your tasks and are organized with an ability to adapt to changing circumstances. As a person, you are calm and stable with good initiative and an empathetic approach. We value your ability to work independently as well as your strong collaboration skills.
