Within VO Orthopedics at SUS, over 500 employees work, and we are one of Sweden's largest orthopedic operations. We have operations conducted in both Malmö and Lund. Each year we receive over 85,000 visits at our clinics and have approximately 6,700 inpatients. The Orthopedic Departments in Malmö are inpatient departments with a focus on spine (dept. 51) and trauma (dept. 52) for patients over 18 years old. The departments work closely together. We also conduct some elective orthopedic surgery on patients with hemophilia diagnosis. We lead improvement work and quality development with experienced colleagues at the helm. The development program is structured in five phases where education and learning activities are included in each phase. Each phase is linked to a clear competency ladder where, from phase three onwards, there is an opportunity to apply for a position as an advanced nurse within orthopedics. This position is a permanent employment with night shift work at Orthopedic Department 52 in Malmö. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a nurse with us, you work with preoperative preparations and postoperative care of patients who have undergone various types of orthopedic surgery. You work closely with your nursing colleague and experienced nursing assistants. The operation has its own on-call line and the team's doctors are available 24/7. Together with the team, you are responsible for planning and leading nursing care and medical treatments. The ambition is that all patients cared for in the department experience security, receive personalized care, and feel respected in a calm and harmonious environment. You and your colleagues have an important role in this work. Working hours are scheduled between 21:00–07:00, with weekend duty two weekends out of five. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. You have previous experience in pre- and postoperative care and feel confident in your professional role. As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and have good organizational and collaboration skills. You have good communication skills and find it easy to meet people on different levels.
