Job Responsibilities At Department 3 of the Medical Clinic in Köping, we care for patients with a wide variety of internal medicine conditions, giving you the opportunity to develop broad expertise. As a nurse, you work from a holistic perspective with the patient in focus and hold a leadership responsibility in the care, treatment, and nursing of acutely ill patients. You work in a team and maintain close collaboration with other professions, such as nursing assistants and physicians. Contact with family members and cooperation with other healthcare providers are also important parts of the work. About the Workplace Care Department 3 is an acute internal medicine ward with 16–18 patient beds. Here we care for patients with various internal medicine conditions, primarily blood disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, nephrology, diabetes, and infections. The Medical Clinic in Köping is responsible for acute internal medicine care in western and northern Västmanland, serving a population of approximately 85,000. Within the clinic, we diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of internal medicine conditions, and each department has specialized areas where staff have advanced expertise. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with some years of experience in the profession, preferably from work within inpatient care. If you have previously worked in the Cosmic medical record system, we consider that an advantage. It is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language to ensure good patient care. As a person, you are confident, stable, and have self-awareness. You have the ability to understand another person's perspective or situation and treat others with humility and respect. You contribute to a good atmosphere in the work group and have good collaboration skills and communicate clearly. You take responsibility for your tasks, adapt easily to changed circumstances, and can remain calm in acute situations. We place great importance on personal suitability. Terms of Employment Permanent position, full-time, night shift including weekend duty. Within the region, an enhanced overtime supplement of 40 percent is offered for night work. If you work permanent night shifts, meaning only nights during a scheduling period, you work 32 hours per week if you are employed full-time. This can be compared with 40 or 38.15 hours, which is standard for a full-time position. We have implemented individual schedule planning with the ability to plan your schedule according to operational needs. This is being implemented as a pilot project through summer 2026.
