The Stroke Unit and Neurorehab are part of the Neurocenter at Sunderby Hospital. The care unit has 13+1 inpatient beds for neurological care and rehabilitation and is located in accessible facilities on floor 4. Adjacent to the unit are the stroke rehabilitation team (SHR), stroke outpatient clinic, baclofen clinic, and rehabilitation medicine outpatient clinic. What We're Looking For We are seeking a licensed registered nurse who wants to work permanent night shifts. You are interested in person-centered care and have a rehabilitation-focused approach to work. As a person, we hope you are engaged, can work independently, and have a strong sense of teamwork. We place great importance on personal qualities and would like to see you as a positive person who can prioritize and act in acute and unexpected situations. Experience working in stroke and/or rehabilitation and experience with Cosmic are merits but not requirements. What You Will Be Working With Department 41 is staffed at night by 2 registered nurses and 2 nursing assistants. The Stroke Unit's goal is to work with the entire care chain, from acute stroke onset until the patient is discharged, sometimes with support from our SHR team. At the Stroke Unit, you work together with the team based on clear procedures grounded in the National Board of Health and Welfare's National Guidelines for Stroke. At Neurorehab, we have Norrbotten's highest level of rehabilitation, where we care for and rehabilitate patients with spinal cord injuries and acquired brain injuries, among others. The rehabilitation provided is at specialist level (accredited according to CARF) and patients come here from across the region by referral. In your role as a registered nurse with us, you ensure patients' medical and specific care needs and then plan and prioritize the interventions to be implemented. We work with person-centered care where the patient is a natural part of the team. As a nurse on the unit, you work with both acute care and rehabilitation. In patient-centered work, you collaborate closely with nursing assistants.
