At the Flight Coordination Center (FKC), medical assessment, prioritization, route planning, and coordination of patient transports for Swedish air ambulance services are performed. This work at the FKC is conducted jointly by both medical and flight coordinators. The medical coordination at FKC is staffed with nurses around the clock and is organized as a separate department in Region Västerbotten under the Ambulance Services, Västerbotten. WORK DUTIES As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. The work duties at MKA are varied and include receiving orders for flight assignments, medical prioritization and coordination of air ambulance assignments. The work consists largely of collaboration both in writing and orally, where you will daily communicate with personnel at SOS alarm, hospital wards, and staff on air ambulances and ground ambulances. Further responsibilities include documentation of medical information and assignment management as well as development of the service with a focus on patient safety, logistics, and safe patient transports. Initially, you will work full-time at MKA. After completing the introduction, you will work full-time, or 50% at MKA and 50% at a clinical operation according to a 24-hour schedule, every day of the year, planned between you and the responsible managers. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a licensed nurse with several years of professional experience who wants to develop in your professional role. You are a person who enjoys logistics, planning, juggling multiple tasks, and being the central figure. The role involves collaboration with many different stakeholders, which requires you to have good teamwork skills. You are a friendly and attentive person who finds it easy to talk with people. You must be able to speak and write in both Swedish and English. Furthermore, you should have good computer skills. Since the workplace is a security-classified operation, all candidates who advance in the recruitment process will undergo a security clearance.
