Specialist Nurse for Operating Room at Angered Nearby Hospital

Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götalandsregionen and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Nearby Hospital, Högsbo Nearby Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. The operating room department at Angered Nearby Hospital is an organizational unit and employs approximately 35 employees who are responsible for the entire operating process. Here, operating room coordinators, anesthesiologists, nurses, nursing assistants, and unit managers work together with the patient in focus. At the operating room at Angered Nearby Hospital there are four operating rooms and a pre- and postoperative unit well adapted for the assignment. We treat patients within the areas of surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and urology both independently and in collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Angered Operating Room also has a major assignment related to insertion and removal of port catheters. We operate on both children and adults. Description We are looking for you who are a nurse, preferably with specialist training in intensive care or other specialist training within the acute care field. Job Responsibilities You will be responsible for pre- and postoperative care where you work both independently and in a team to meet the patient's needs. You follow the patient from admission to discharge, which makes the work both enjoyable and inspiring, and you get confirmation that you have done a good job. Qualifications Nurse's degree with Swedish professional credentials is a requirement. Specialist training in intensive care and work experience in day surgery or pre-/postoperative care as well as experience caring for children in connection with surgery/anesthesia are merits. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is a requirement. Additional language skills we see as an advantage. Personal Qualities You have a care focus, are meticulous and place patient safety high. You are unpretentious, have an easy time building relationships, and enjoy working in a team. Terms The schedule is fixed and scheduled for weekdays daytime with work shifts where you approximately once a week start later and work until 17.00 or 18.00.
