About the Department The Oncology department provides highly specialized care in general and gynecological oncology. We treat cancer patients in different phases of their disease course. The Eastern Oncology Clinic specializes in tumors of the lower gastrointestinal tract. What We Offer Work hours: weekends off, weekdays, daytime. General Oncology 7.5 credits Organ-Specific Oncology 7.5 credits Antiemetic certification Cytostatic certification Orientation tailored to your background and prior knowledge. Duties You work as a contact nurse at the clinic and administer medical oncological treatment while monitoring symptoms and side effects following both intravenous and oral treatments. As a contact nurse, you follow the patient throughout their disease course. You manage your own schedule and work closely with physicians and other professionals on your team. Your responsibilities include participating in new patient visits and follow-up visits with the patient's responsible physician, managing inquiries in 1177, and handling incoming calls from patients for whom you are the care coordinator/contact nurse. We create an orientation based on your background, experience, and our needs. We work patient-centered and an important goal is to maintain the health of our patients. About You We are seeking a registered nurse. Experience in oncology and outpatient clinic work is meritorious. As a person, you are unpretentious and ask for help or advice when you need it. You appreciate close patient contact and long-term care relationships. You value a good work environment and enjoy working in a team as well as independently! The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts during your first year of employment with us. The Clinical Foundation Year includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at Simulatorcentrum. In addition, you will work at least two different departments to broaden your competence. If we recruit nurses/physicians with foreign credentials/specialist certifications, the position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish credentials/specialist certifications.
