About the Operation The Oncology unit provides highly specialized care in general and gynecological oncology. We treat cancer patients in various phases of their disease progression. Oncology Clinic 2 focuses on tumor groups in breast and upper gastrointestinal tract. What Do We Offer? Work schedule: weekday daytime hours (Monday-Friday). Job Responsibilities You will work as a contact nurse at the clinic and provide medical oncological treatment, monitoring symptoms and side effects from both intravenous and oral treatments. As a contact nurse, you will follow patients throughout their entire disease progression. You work with your own schedule and collaborate closely with physicians and other professionals in your team. Your duties include attending new patient visits and follow-up visits with the responsible physician, handling patient requests in 1177, and responding to incoming calls from patients for whom you are the care coordinator/contact nurse. We create an onboarding plan based on your background, experience, and our needs. We work in a patient-centered manner, and an important goal is to maintain the health and wellness of our patients. About You We are looking for a licensed nurse. Experience in oncology and outpatient clinic work is a merit. As a person, you are unpretentious and ask for help or advice when needed. You appreciate close patient contact and long-term care relationships. You value a good work environment and enjoy working both as part of a team and independently! The Clinical Base Year is mandatory and lasts during your first year of employment with us. The Clinical Base Year includes lectures, care mentoring, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. In addition, you will work in at least two different departments to broaden your competence. In the event of recruitment of nurses/physicians with foreign credentials/specialist certification, the position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish credentials/specialist certification.
