We offer highly specialized cardiac care and have overall responsibility for patients in the region. The Heart Center includes the Cardiology Clinic, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiology Department, PCI Lab, Arrhythmia Unit, Clinical Physiology, and Center for Cardiovascular Genetics. We investigate, treat, and operate on patients from throughout the northern region with diseases of the heart, lungs, and coronary arteries. Through collaboration across boundaries, efficient care pathways, continuous improvement, and competent staff, we offer very high-quality care. We have approximately 400 employees at the Heart Center. In the Cardiology Department, we have approximately 30 nurses and 20 nursing assistants. Cardiology consists of a care ward with 12 beds, a cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) with 5 beds, and an assessment unit that is a weekly care unit with up to 8 inpatient beds plus day care. Our three units handle a mix of planned care, intermediate care, and emergency cases from the emergency department. We are now seeking two additional nurses for our wonderful team in Cardiology. RESPONSIBILITIES As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and dedication that help people feel secure. Work as a nurse with us is qualified, and no two shifts are alike. Your responsibilities include identifying risks, assessing, addressing, and evaluating patients' needs. The work is varied and offers great variety in terms of content and pace—at times at a fast pace with short care periods, and at other times involving more complex issues and longer care periods. The position includes rotation among our three units: the care ward, CICU, and assessment unit. You plan and perform medical nursing interventions in close collaboration with nursing assistants. It is enjoyable, varied, and challenging work where you have the opportunity to learn new things every day in a wonderful work group. We always help each other and have good collaboration with other professional groups (physicians, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, social workers, and care-related services). The focus is always on the patient. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a licensed nurse. We value previous experience in cardiac care, but it is not required. You enjoy taking responsibility and working in a team. For you to thrive with us, we see that you are quality-conscious, proactive, and engaged. You have good communication skills, see the whole patient, and can adapt your care to the patient's different needs during their care period. Employment type: Fixed-term contract.
