Surgical Center Southern Lapland is a clinic with broad operations and high expertise. Within the clinic there is a ward, outpatient clinic, operating department, emergency department, intensive care unit, recovery unit, and helicopter operations.
We are now seeking a nurse for the ward with responsibilities toward the admission reception. The admission reception is part of the surgical center's ward where the admission nurse is an important part of a team with nursing assistants, doctors, and physical therapists.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse on the ward, you contribute to taking good care of patients and helping people feel better.
You work in close collaboration with other professional categories according to the patient-centered care model. You independently plan and perform medical nursing interventions. We offer structured and individually adapted orientation.
We apply the quality assurance method "Green Cross" and work actively with care development.
At the admission reception, you will work on average two days a week. As an admission nurse, you work in a multidisciplinary team to prepare patients for upcoming examinations and operations. Your role is a coordinating function within the team. You plan your workday and independently structure the work with the patient in focus. You should have a few years of experience as a nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience, and have a good sense of the patient's needs. To succeed and thrive in the role, you need to be responsive, responsible, and flexible as you will to a large extent plan and lead the close patient work.
