Nurse - Psychiatry/LSS Specialization

The position is located within the Care and Social Services Administration, one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Care and Social Services Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, healthcare, authority functions, procurement of services, and operates care and social services in-house. Your Responsibilities We are now seeking a nurse to work within social psychiatry. Here you will have a varied and independent role where you plan your day based on both acute and planned interventions for patients in the municipality. As a nurse in this position, you are part of a multidisciplinary team where you collaborate closely with the operations manager, group leaders, care staff, and rehabilitation personnel. You also maintain close collaboration with health centers and the region's specialist clinics as needed. You participate in coordinated individual planning (SIP) and care planning meetings. As a patient-responsible nurse (PAS), you are responsible for healthcare at a number of supported living facilities and have a central role in ensuring good, safe, and person-centered care. We actively work to maintain patients' independence. Your responsibilities include medication management, prevention, medical assessments, sample collection, supportive and motivating conversations, documentation in accordance with healthcare legislation, and delegation of healthcare services to care personnel. Many of our patients have needs for both social psychiatric and somatic care. We offer you an individually tailored introduction together with experienced colleagues when you start with us. Your Workplace The healthcare team within LSS and social psychiatry is divided into three teams. The teams consist of nurses, assistant nurses, and in some cases occupational and physical therapists specializing in psychiatric supported living, psychiatric home care, and the municipality's LSS group homes. We also provide healthcare services to day activities. We are now seeking someone who wants to work specifically within social psychiatry. However, we have close collaboration and it may become relevant to cover our group homes as well. Our office is located at Hertig Karlsgatan 2, a short walk from the transportation hub. We work daytime hours, Monday through Friday. We also apply flexible working hours so you can influence your work schedule based on both your needs and the organization's requirements. You will also have the opportunity to use 10% of your work time for further development in your field of work through point-based training. About You We are seeking a licensed nurse with at least one year of professional experience. For this position, you need to have previous experience as a nurse within psychiatry or LSS. We consider it a merit if you are a specialist nurse in psychiatry, a district nurse, or have other specialist training that the employer finds relevant. We view it positively if you have experience working with low-affective approaches and if you have experience working with alternative and augmentative communication. It is a merit if you have knowledge and experience in motivational interviewing (MI) and working with people with substance abuse or addiction issues. Experience with Senior Alert and the Swedish Palliative Registry is also a merit. If you additionally have experience in change and development work, we consider it an advantage, but it is not a requirement. The work involves documentation and communication with patients and relatives, which requires you to have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, and good computer skills. It is also a requirement that you have a B driver's license and that you can cycle. To succeed in this role, you should have a genuine interest in people and in the target group we work with. You thrive in changes and can quickly adjust your approach based on changing circumstances. You are receptive to others' ideas and can provide constructive feedback, and you have a good understanding of how individuals acquire knowledge and can adapt the way you communicate information. As a nurse, you will have a management role and therefore need to be able to lead, motivate, and coordinate groups effectively. Furthermore, you structure, plan, and prioritize work. You should be able to listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner, and balance complex information and show judgment in statements, actions, and decisions.
