Holmsund Care and Residential Home consists of six units: three group homes, a short-term unit, a service housing department, and a group home located in Obbola. We are now seeking a Registered Nurse! Your Responsibilities As a registered nurse in Umeå Municipality, you will be responsible for health and medical care services for our residents. Tasks include medical assessments, wound care, medication management, documentation, and supervision of care personnel. You will ensure that medical interventions maintain high quality and function well in daily operations. In this role, you will work closely with care staff, paramedical professionals, and management at the care and residential home, and you will coordinate contacts with physicians and other professionals in both primary care and hospital settings. Work hours are scheduled for daytime and weekends. About You As a registered nurse in the municipality, you and your nursing colleagues hold the highest medical expertise. It is therefore important that you are comfortable taking responsibility independently, have strong initiative, and contribute to good communication in collaboration with other professionals. Of course, you maintain a respectful and professional demeanor when interacting with residents and their families. Requirements Registered Nurse license Type B driver's license Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Valid certificate from the criminal record registry Merits Advanced education in geriatric care, district nursing, or psychiatry Pets (dogs and cats) may be present in the workplace, and some individuals may smoke, so you should not have allergies.
