Job Duties
As a nurse in municipal health and care services, you will lead nursing work in health and social care in ordinary housing. You will collaborate with care assistants, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and unit managers. You will also work with primary care, hospital care and other actors from a holistic perspective on the patient. You will have overall patient responsibility for the care of your patients. This includes being able to make your own assessments, take samples, perform dressing changes, medication management, administer injections, diabetes care, palliative care and other occurring tasks. You are responsible for prescribing assistive devices, such as anti-pressure mattresses. The work also includes prevention of diseases and disease complications, such as falls, malnutrition and mental health issues.
As a nurse, you will also mentor and train/delegate staff in nursing care and health and social care services.
Qualifications

That you are a registered nurse
Class B driving license
Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Specialist education in care of the elderly
District nurse education
Further education in dementia care

Terms of Employment
Permanent employment on a full-time basis with a starting date by agreement. Scheduled working hours 38.25 hours/week, mostly daytime. Weekend and evening shifts occur, currently every 5th weekend plus approximately 7 early and evening shifts within 10 weeks.
