About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking additional staff members. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, detention facilities, and inmate transportation. Job Description The Swedish Prison and Probation Service operates certain open healthcare services, which means that all prisons and detention facilities have medical clinics where inmates can seek care. In addition to nurses, the clinics have general practitioners and psychiatrists. As a nurse, you will have your own clinic for assessing minor ailments, and you will also assess which patients should see a doctor. This means you work with both somatic and psychiatric healthcare for inmates, assist at doctor's clinics, and primarily administer medications through dose dispensing. Documentation is done in PMO patient medical records. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and self-aware. You work well with other people and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have great integrity and the ability to make correct assessments and prioritizations. You are quality-conscious and thorough, and have the ability to structure your own approach and drive your processes forward.
