About the Operations The orthopedic unit provides pre- and postoperative care for orthopedic patients where pain management and mobilization play an important role in the care process. On our orthopedic departments you will meet patients of different ages. We are now seeking a nurse for night shift work to join our team. As a new nurse with us, your onboarding will take place within the team with more experienced staff. We work to strengthen competence in orthopedics, which means you will be offered to take a self-paced course in orthopedic diseases. Additional internal training will be offered. This position is a permanent full-time position with start date September 1, 2026, or by agreement. Job Responsibilities Your job responsibilities include: Pre- and postoperative care of orthopedic patients Work preventatively regarding the risk of pressure ulcers, falls, and malnutrition Regular nursing tasks in an acute care unit Pain management and rehabilitation Qualifications We are looking for you who: Are a licensed nurse Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written It is an advantage if you: Have experience working in a hospital ward Have work experience in acute care To succeed in the role, we believe you have these personal qualities: Collaboration skills Personal maturity Stability Holistic perspective Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, Region Västernorrland is responsible for several of the operations that are most important for residents' ability to participate in society.
