About the Operation On the neonatal unit, we work in modern facilities where children and parents receive care together. We have close collaboration with obstetrics and postpartum care. We also hold regional responsibility for care of all sick or premature newborns in Dalarna. We provide both basic care and intensive care on the unit's 12 patient beds, as well as outpatient services. Together, we offer excellent care for all birthing families in Dalarna. Here you have the opportunity to be part of developing the future of neonatal care in Dalarna. Job Responsibilities As a nurse, you are the care coordinator for children/families, where child and family-centered developmental supportive care is fundamental. You work in a team with child care nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, social workers, dietitians, and physiotherapists. We work purposefully and systematically with care development and competency development. Rotating shifts day/evening/night at 100%, with the possibility of part-time work. Start date by agreement. Individualized Onboarding: It's important that you feel safe and secure in your work. We provide a customized 10-week onboarding period. During your initial time as a nurse, you will have responsibility for fewer patients. We have a structured internal training program with dedicated time for lectures on neonatal care, neonatal conditions, medical technology, practical exercises, and more. We use individual scheduling. You should be able to work day, evening, night, and weekends. Region Dalarna's night shift compensation is higher than the national agreement, and features reduced weekly working hours for night shifts. The neonatal unit is part of the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Clinic, where we support each other across unit boundaries. After customized onboarding, some work may occur on the older children's ward. As the first-line manager of the neonatal unit, I believe it's important that everyone feels part of a team. This means you should feel secure knowing you can get support from me and the assistant manager, as well as from your colleagues. We collaborate, help, and support each other daily, which is important so we all can do good work and develop, but also so it feels enjoyable to come to work. Qualifications Requirements: We are seeking a licensed nurse Meritorious: Experience as a nurse Specialist education in healthcare for children and adolescents or specialist education in intensive care, alternatively a licensed midwife Personal Qualities: You'll thrive here if you enjoy varied work and have the ability to adapt to different types of situations. You have the stability and maturity to remain calm in most situations. We see that you have interest, willingness, and ability to handle medical equipment and an interest in intensive care. Great importance is placed on personal qualities and suitability. This means you don't need to have all the knowledge from the start, but your interest and personal qualities are very important to us.
