The role of registered nurse in ambulance services As a registered nurse, you work together with an ambulance paramedic or another registered nurse with basic or specialist training. Together you assess and treat patients in their homes, at accident scenes, and during transport to healthcare facilities. You also perform patient transfers between different healthcare facilities, both within and outside the county. In your daily work you meet all types of patients, where your role is to provide good and safe care based on the patient's needs. Your work is therefore varied and no two days are alike. We offer a permanent position with a start date by agreement. Your future workplace Ambulance services have developed significantly in recent years and now offer increasingly advanced care even before the ambulance reaches the hospital. The vision of ambulance services is to provide the best possible ambulance care and be an attractive workplace with the patient at the center. In Region Jönköping County there are 26 ambulances, including one care transport ambulance and one patient transport ambulance distributed across twelve stations. Ambulance services consist of three ambulance districts, of which the eastern district is one and has stations in Eksjö, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Sävsjö, Tranås, and Aneby. If you also have one of the following specialist qualifications it is meritorious: • Ambulance Services • Anesthesia Care • Intensive Care • Acute Care You are an experienced driver and have at least a Category B driver's license. It is important that you are in good physical condition and have good physical work capacity, both for your own sake and the patient's. As a person you are confident and stable with a good ability to separate personal matters from professional ones. It is important that you are comfortable making your own decisions in your work. The work also involves close teamwork, so you need to have a good ability to collaborate with other people and communicate clearly. Since you daily meet patients and their families it is very important that you have an empathetic manner and good interpersonal skills. Working in ambulance services also demands personal maturity and good judgment. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
