We warmly welcome your application! Your Role as a Nurse in Ambulance Care Service As a nurse, you'll work alongside nurses with basic or specialist training or ambulance paramedics. Together, you'll assess and treat patients in their homes, at accident scenes, and during transport to healthcare facilities. You'll also perform patient transfers between different healthcare facilities, both within and outside the region. As a member of the ambulance care team, you'll have access to advanced equipment such as defibrillators, mechanical chest compression devices, and a range of medications. In your daily work, you'll encounter different patients, providing good and safe care based on their needs. Your work is therefore varied and no two days are the same. We offer permanent employment with a start date to be agreed upon. Your Future Workplace Ambulance care has developed significantly in recent years and now offers increasingly advanced care even before the ambulance reaches the hospital. Our vision is to provide the best possible ambulance care and be an attractive workplace with the patient at the center. In Region Jönköping County, there are 24 ambulances, including one basic care ambulance, distributed across twelve stations. The ambulance service is divided into three areas, of which Area South is one, with stations in Vaggeryd, Gislaved, and Värnamo. We view experience in acute care favorably. Having any of the following specialist qualifications is a merit: • Ambulance Care • Acute Care • Anesthesia • Intensive Care You're an experienced driver with at least a Class B driver's license. In our service, it's important that you're in good physical condition and have strong physical capability, for both your sake and your patient's. Working in ambulance care requires personal maturity and sound judgment, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability. You're someone who is confident and stable, with a good ability to separate personal matters from professional ones. It's important that you're comfortable making your own decisions at work. The role also involves close teamwork, so you need good collaborative skills and the ability to communicate clearly. Since you'll meet patients and their families daily, it's essential that you have an empathetic approach and provide good service.
