Your Role as a Nurse in Ambulance Services As a registered nurse, you'll work alongside nurses with basic or specialist training or an ambulance paramedic. Together, you'll assess and treat patients at home, at accident scenes, and during transport to healthcare facilities. You'll also perform patient transfers between different healthcare facilities, both within and outside the county. As a member of the ambulance services team, you'll have access to advanced equipment such as defibrillators, mechanical chest compression devices, and a range of medications. In your daily work, you'll meet diverse patients, providing good and safe care based on their needs. Your work is therefore varied and no two days are alike. We offer permanent employment with a start date to be agreed upon. Your Future Workplace Ambulance services have developed significantly in recent years and now offer increasingly advanced care before the ambulance even arrives at the hospital. The ambulance services' vision is to provide the best possible ambulance care and be an attractive workplace with the patient at the center. In Region Jönköpings County, there are 24 ambulances, including one non-emergency transport ambulance, distributed across twelve stations throughout the county. Ambulance services are divided into three ambulance areas, of which the southern area is one and has stations in Vaggeryd, Gislaved, and Värnamo. We particularly value experience in acute care. Additional merit qualifications include any of the following specializations: • Ambulance Services • Acute Care • Anesthesia • Intensive Care You're an experienced driver with at least a Category B driver's license. In our operations, it's important that you have good physical fitness and strong physical working capacity, both for your own sake and your patients'. Working in ambulance services requires personal maturity and good judgment, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability. As a person, you're calm and stable with a good ability to separate personal and professional matters. It's important that you're comfortable making independent decisions in your work. The job also involves close teamwork, so you need strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly. Since you'll daily interact with patients and their families, it's very important that you have an empathetic approach and provide excellent care.
