The Role of Registered Nurse in Ambulance Care Service As a registered nurse, you work together with an ambulance care technician or another registered nurse with basic or specialist training. Together you assess and treat patients in their homes, at accident scenes, and during transport to healthcare facilities. You also perform patient transfers between different healthcare facilities, both within and outside the county. In your daily work you meet all types of patients, where your role is to provide good and safe care based on the patient's needs. Your work is therefore varied and no two days are alike. We offer a permanent position with a start date by agreement. Your Future Workplace Ambulance Care Service has developed significantly in recent years and now offers increasingly advanced care before the ambulance arrives at the hospital. The Ambulance Care Service's vision is to provide the best possible ambulance care and to be an attractive workplace with the patient at the center. In Region Jönköpings Län there are 26 ambulances, including one light care ambulance and one transport ambulance distributed across twelve stations. The Ambulance Care Service consists of three ambulance areas, of which the East area is one and has stations in Eksjö, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Sävsjö, Tranås, and Aneby. If you also have any of the following specialist qualifications, that is a merit: • Ambulance Care • Anesthesia Care • Intensive Care • Emergency Care You are an experienced driver and hold at least a Class B driver's license. It is important that you have good physical fitness and physical work capacity, for both your sake and the patient's. As a person, you are confident and stable with a strong ability to separate the personal from the professional. It is important that you are comfortable making independent decisions in your work. The work also involves close teamwork, so you need to have good collaboration skills and communicate clearly. Since you meet patients and their families daily, it is very important that you have an empathetic approach and good interpersonal skills. Working within ambulance care also requires personal maturity and good judgment. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
