The Geriatric Center is a specialized clinic for patients requiring both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. A comprehensive assessment of the elderly patient's medical, physical, psychological, and social functional capacity during illness is performed by interprofessional teams. Diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation are provided in both inpatient and outpatient settings with the patient's individual needs in focus. General Geriatrics, Department 1, has 20 beds focused on subacute general geriatric care and rehabilitation as well as a fast track program accepting patients from MAVA and the infectious disease clinic. We are very proud to operate a student teaching unit (SUA) where nursing and nursing assistant students independently care for patients under supervision. We are now looking for a new colleague for a permanent position in Region Västerbotten - Could this be you? You will work according to a 3-3 shift schedule with shifts during day, evening, and weekends. Start date by agreement. JOB DUTIES As a nurse with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. As a nurse, your work includes nursing care responsibility and nursing work together with nursing assistants, medical procedures based on the patient's condition and medical orders, as well as contact with other professionals in the care team, other healthcare providers, and the patient's next of kin. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Additionally, it would be nice if you have specialist training in eldercare, but it is not a requirement. For you to be the person we are looking for, we see that you have good collaboration skills, where you listen and communicate with both patients and colleagues. It is important that you feel comfortable handling administrative tasks. It is a merit if you have experience with teamwork and geriatric nursing care. Type of Employment: Permanent position.
