The Geriatric Center is a specialist clinic for patients requiring both acute and planned geriatric care and rehabilitation. A comprehensive assessment of elderly patients' medical, physical, psychological, and social functional capacity during illness is performed by interprofessional teams. Diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation are conducted in both inpatient and outpatient settings with focus on the patient's individual needs. General Geriatrics, Unit 1, has 20 care beds with a focus on subacute general geriatric care and rehabilitation, as well as a fast track program with patient transfers from MAVA and the Infectious Disease Clinic. We are very proud to operate a student teaching unit (SUA) where nursing and nursing assistant students independently care for patients under supervision. We are now seeking a new colleague for a permanent position with Region Västerbotten - Could that be you? You will work according to a 3-3 shift model with schedules covering day, evening, and weekend shifts. Start date by agreement. JOB DUTIES As a registered nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and dedication that help people feel secure. The registered nurse role includes nursing care responsibility and nursing work together with nursing assistants, medical interventions based on the patient's condition and medical orders, and coordination with other professionals in the care team, other care providers, and the patient's family members. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed registered nurse, preferably with specialist training in geriatric nursing. To be the candidate we are seeking, we value strong collaboration skills where you listen and communicate effectively with both patients and colleagues. It is important that you are comfortable handling administrative tasks. Experience with teamwork and geriatric nursing is a merit. Employment type: Permanent position.
