Description We are seeking someone who is passionate about practice-based work and research and is ready to pursue a Licentiate degree. Together we contribute to the development of our operations and improve the lives of residents in the beautiful municipality of Essunga. You will be part of the transformation into an Academic Säbo. This unique opportunity is aimed at those interested in combining clinical knowledge and experience with academic research, in this case action research. Your knowledge as a specialist nurse will be central to your role. You will have the chance to work in a municipality where decision-making paths are short and where you have real influence over the scientific project to be carried out on a newly opened dementia unit. To be eligible for this position, you must meet the requirements for admission to the researcher training program in work-integrated learning at Högskolan Väst. The position is part of the research project Essunga Akademiska and is a collaboration between Essunga Municipality and Högskolan Väst. Job Duties As a specialist nurse with a research assignment in Essunga Municipality, you have a unique opportunity to work with staff and managers to develop operations from an action research perspective, leading to a Licentiate degree. Your duties will be both diverse and stimulating: Contribute actively to the research project with your clinical expertise to meet the requirements of person-centered and evidence-based care and support Provide education in scientific approaches for staff, etc. Collect, analyze, and coordinate data relevant to the research, supporting both scientific and practical development Work independently and set goals for both your own and the organization's development in collaboration with management By being part of our organization, you will not only have the opportunity to influence care and support, but also contribute to important research that makes a difference for residents. Qualifications You have relevant specialist training, for example in dementia, district nursing, elderly care, or another specialty that the employer deems relevant. Researcher training toward a Licentiate degree involves, in addition to participating in the researcher training courses and other activities, conducting an independent thesis within the framework of the Essunga Akademiska project. Eligibility Requirements To qualify for researcher training, two eligibility requirements must be met: 1) general eligibility and 2) specific eligibility. General eligibility for education at research level is held by those who have: completed degrees at basic and advanced level, fulfilled course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 higher education credits at advanced level, or acquired knowledge equivalent in essence by other means within or outside the country. Specific eligibility for education at research level in work-integrated learning is held by those who have: A degree at advanced level with relevance to the research training subject of work-integrated learning. Thesis work comprising at least 15 credits at advanced level or other written work of corresponding character and scope. Eligibility requirements can be fulfilled through studies in Sweden or abroad. For this employment, the following is also required: Ability to communicate very well orally and in writing in Swedish and English.
