The Role as a Registered Nurse As a registered nurse, you have a holistic perspective on the patient's complex needs. You are responsible for patient care, observation, medication administration, and collaboration around patients with varying care needs. We want the patient to be actively involved in their care. This means that providing information is a very important part of your work. You care for the patient in the best way based on the individual's needs and evidence-based practice within medical nursing. We work in teams with different professionals, and together with other colleagues you work toward good collaboration within the clinic. As a registered nurse, you lead and distribute the work within the team. Your Future Workplace The Medical and Geriatric Clinic at Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö is a developing organization where we care for patients in need of specialized medical and geriatric care. Within the clinic there are several care units with different focus areas and specializations. On Medical Care Unit G, we care for patients with Stroke/TIA, other neurological diseases such as epilepsy, migraines, and others, as well as acute geriatric elderly patients with multiple conditions. With us you will gain broad expertise as we care for patients with many different complex diseases. A development opportunity for you as a registered nurse is to become a stroke coordinator through internal training. As a stroke coordinator, you coordinate, together with ambulance services, emergency departments, or primary care centers, direct admissions for patients suspected of having Stroke/TIA. This position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date is by agreement, but we would be happy if you could begin with us as soon as possible.
