The Role of Registered Nurse As a registered nurse, you have a holistic perspective on the patient's complex needs. You are responsible for nursing care, observation, medication administration, and collaborative efforts regarding patients with varying care needs. We want patients to be engaged in their own care. This means that communication is a very important part of your work. You care for patients in the best way possible based on individual needs and evidence-based practice within medical nursing care. We work in teams with different professions, and together with other colleagues, you work toward good collaboration within the clinic. As a registered nurse, you lead and distribute work within the team. Your Future Workplace The Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic at Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö is a developing care facility where we treat patients in need of specialized medical and geriatric care. The clinic includes a number of care units with different focus areas and specializations. On Medical Care Unit G, we treat patients with Stroke/TIA, other neurological disorders such as epilepsy, migraine, etc., as well as acute geriatric patients with multiple medical conditions. A development opportunity for you as a registered nurse is to become a stroke coordinator through internal training. As a stroke coordinator, you coordinate, together with ambulance, emergency care, or health centers, direct admissions for people with suspected Stroke/TIA. This position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date is by agreement, but we would be happy if you could begin with us as soon as possible.
